Integration Toolkit (API) for Secure Messaging
If your organization is looking for an easy way to add secure messaging (be it e-mail, IM, VoIP, etc.), we can provide an API for you to integrate the SendItSecure infrastructure into your application.

Reducing the Number of Fingerprint Scans
When you send and receive many secure messages in a short time period, the number of fingerprint scans required can be reduced by using fingerprint caching. This makes using biometrics for e-mail even more convenient.
Here's how it works:
- When you scan your fingerprint to open or send a secure message, the fingerprint is encrypted and temporarily stored in memory.
- The SendItSecure client software then constantly detects how long your input devices (mouse and keyboard) have been idle. If the input is idle for too long (determined by your organization administrator or client software settings), then the stored fingerprint is destroyed in memory. Additionally, the stored fingerprint will be destroyed if it is in memory too long (also determined by your organization administrator or client software) regardless of the input idle time.
- The next time the SendItSecure client software would have required you to scan your fingerprint, it will use the one stored in memory instead.
By monitoring the keyboard and mouse idle time, the software can ensure that you have remained at your computer and that no one else has sat down in place of you while your fingerprint is stored in memory.
While a fingerprint is stored in memory, a green light flashes behind the SendItSecure tray icon letting you know it will be used.
Of course, if you or your organization feels that fingerprint caching is a security hazard, the feature may be disabled for your entire organization or just your computer.
