Sending Large Attachments (even 2GB+)

SendItSecure™  has the unique ability to overcome traditional e-mail limitations by allowing you to send and receive attachments of any size.  That's right, you can send and receive attachments of any file size, even beyond 2GB!

Here's how it works:

  1. A SendItSecure user attaches a large file to a secure message and clicks send.
  2. After the standard secure message authentication has completed, the SendItSecure client software encrypts the large attachments separately, with a different encryption key (one that the SendItSecure server doesn't even know about).
  3. The software uploads the large attachment data to the SendItSecure server for temporary storage.
  4. A secure message is sent to the recipients that contains a "reference", or "link" (just for internal use, not one to click on), to the large attachment data on the SendItSecure server.  This "reference" message contains the encryption key used for the large attachment data, thus the SendItSecure server has no way to decrypt the large attachment data.
  5. The receiving user's computer then downloads and decrypts the large attachments allowing the user to save them to his or her computer.

This is all done by sending only 1-2 kilobyte messages (that's small) over the traditional e-mail system, so you have no limitations of attaching any file you wish.
