SendItSecure Goes Mobile, BlackBerry Style
Tuesday, June 24, 2008
We are currently working on a mobile version of SendItSecure for BlackBerry. This BlackBerry application will enable SendItSecure users to send and receive secure, encrypted messages using their BlackBerry's. It integrates directly with the Messages application, so it works with your existing e-mail.
For security, the BlackBerry application will utilitze two-factor authentication: A passphrase that only you know, and a private digital certificate. This way, a message can only be opened by knowing the passphrase AND having the registered mobile device.
Here's a quick demo:
When you receive a message, you simply enter your mobile passphrase that you set up when you "enrolled" your BlackBerry:

When you send a message, you do the same thing:
Also, the mobile passphrase is cached for a short time, so you only need to enter it if your device remains idle for a small amount of time.
Check back soon because we'll post again when it's available! Oh, and don't forget to subscribe to our blog with your favorite RSS reader :)
Happy messaging!
